COOKING SLIDE SHOW

The Cooking Activity operates every day and can be scheduled as much as the camper desires via the elective program. Cooking classes are designed to teach meal preparation skills that can be covered within a one hour period in the daily schedule. Cooking staff members instruct campers in proper food handling, food storage safety, and the use of cooking tools, equipment and kitchen knives. Campers learn how to prepare a variety of simple breakfast, lunch, and dinner meals, snacks, and desserts. They also get to eat the food they prepare, which is one reason why the cooking activity is so popular at camp! Pizza bagels, quesadillas, brownies, and gourmet macaroni and cheese are just a few of the cooking activity favorites.

CULINARY ARTS CLINIC

The Culinary Arts Clinic is designed to teach cooking skills to campers who are serious about learning how to cook. The clinic extends four days and operates two to three hours a day. Campers learn how to prepare a variety of full course meals, starting from scratch. They also practice proper food handling, food storage safety, and the use of cooking tools, equipment and kitchen knives.

From appetizers to soups and salads, campers learn the skills of the trade and secrets from our chefs and create tasty delights, and sumptuous delicacies that will delight friends and family at home!

Successful completion of the Culinary Arts Clinic earns the graduate a Culinary Chef Certification and a special Culinary Arts T-shirt.
