Every summer we schedule camp trips to dynamite Amusement Parks and other exciting places of camper interest. In the past we've taken campers to: Dorney Park & the Wild Water Kingdom, Hershey Park, the Wayne County Fair, Cooperstown and the Baseball Hall of Fame, Montage Alpine and Water Slides, Rafting trips on the Delaware, Busch Gardens, Colonial Williamsburg, Jamestown Festival Park in Virginia, Washington D.C., Baltimore, Virginia Beach, Boston, Toronto, Kings Dominion, Niagara Falls, Canada's Wonderland Amusement Park, the Ontario Science Center and a whole lot more!
Each 4 week session features an all-camp trip at a major Amusement Park. There are no extra charges for these trips. We hire a fleet of coach buses, pack up our campers and staff, and leave for the Amusement Park right after breakfast. Lunch and dinner are served in our reserved pavilion at the park. Campers entering the 6th grade and younger are supervised by 2 counselors assigned to the cabin group the entire day. Senior campers buddy-up and are supervised by our senior counselors and senior staff members who are located throughout the park. We also have mandatory check-in times at our pavilion. At the end of the day, the buses are loaded, and we depart for camp... hopefully in time to make curfew!
In addition to our All-Camp Trips (which are included in the tuition) every summer we schedule a 3-Day Trip to a site of educational as well as entertaining interest for our campers. This trip is optional and limited to 50 campers who are 11 years old and older.
This summer's 3-Day Trip is scheduled for July 28th through July 30th, and we'll be heading to Niagara Falls and Toronto, Canada with an afternoon touring the Falls on the Maid of the Mist Boat Excursion and an upclose view of the Falls on the Cave of the Winds Tour, a full day at Canada's Wonderland Amusement park, and a great day at the Toronto Zoo. The itinerary is superb!
DAY 1: Niagara Falls! - We begin the excusrions with coach bus transportation to Niagara Falls. There, we hop aboard the world-famous Maid of the Mist Boat and get an up-close view of the waterfalls as the boat passes the 180 foot high American Falls and then motors into Horseshoe Basin. The sights are spectacular! After the boat trip we’ll take the Cave of the Winds Tour where you’ll hear (and feel!) the water thundering down on and around the caves we’ll be exploring! We’ll be about 20 feet from the billowing torrents of the Bridal Veil Falls so there will be plenty of spray, but don’t worry! The tour leaders provide ponchos and special footwear to keep us dry and comfortable. We next head to our hotel in Toronto, Canada. In the evening we relax, and then enjoy with our annual 3-Day Trip Pizza Party!
DAY 2: Canda's Wonderland Amusement Park! - HERE WE COME! We will spend the entire day #2 at Canada’s Wonderland, one of North America’s best amusement parks! Canada’s Wonderland features rides and attractions that appeal to the timid as well as to the avid thrill seekers out there.
There are rides and attractions for everyone. But if you are a thrill seeker, this park’s for you. Among the fourteen roller coasters making up the Canada Wonderland’s skyline is the Behemoth! This coaster is just what it sounds like. It’s the biggest and fastest in Canada and climbs to a height of 230 feet and then drops at an eye-popping 75 degree decline with speeds approaching 78 mph! Okay, maybe that’s a bit much, but there’s thirteen other coasters that are more tame but just as entertaining. And there’s more. Canada Wonderland features over 200 attractions, more than 65 amusement park rides, live entertainment and a 20-acre water park. It’s AMAZING!

DAY 3: Boston! - This day is highlighted by a visit to the Toronto Zoo, one of the largest zoos in the world! More than 5,000 animals make their home at the zoo. We’ll get to see over 500 species living in their natural environments from special viewing areas located in the zoo. To make the adventure even more fun and educational, we’ve planned a scavenger hunt designed to challenge camper teams to locate clues during our tour of the zoo. It will be FUN!
