We have lots of fun planned this summer and we invite you to join us!

Camp Lohikan is a premier overnight summer camp for boys and girls aged 6 to 15, located in the northeast Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania in Wayne County. We're about 2 1/2 hours from New York City and 45 minutes northeast of Scranton, Pennsylvania.

Since 1957 Camp Lohikan has been owned and operated by the Buynak Family. For 56 summers the Buynak Family and Camp Lohikan's staff have provided campers with a safe, supportive environment to make friends, professional instruction to learn new skills and sharpen old ones, and a friendly atmosphere where fun happens all the time!

Our campsite is situated on 1200 acres and located high in the northeast Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania. The campus is surrounded by preserved forested landscape and overlooks picturesque streams, a private lake and miles of mountain vistas. The mountain air at a quarter mile above sea level is clean and dry. Summer days are typically warm and nights are cool. It's the ideal location for a sleepaway summer camp!

Our facilities are among the best in camping!... Heated swimming pool, private lake with 50+ boats, on-premises stables with 30 horses and 7 miles of trails, over 40,000 square feet of indoor activity facilities, 11 tennis courts equipped with lights, 6 basketball courts (indoor and outdoor), 4 regulation sports fields, extensive adventure program and ropes course, indoor & outdoor theaters (fully equipped), 14 arts & crafts workshops, awesome skate park, circus arts center, modern cabins with showers... Our program stands out for its breadth and the quality of instruction. Over 65 activities are operated on a daily basis!

The Daily Program for campers entering 6th grade and older is elective. Every camper gets to choose his or her own schedule of activities. Campers entering the 5th grade and younger follow a cabin-structured program and are accompanied by their counselors. But even juniors get elective choices in Lohikan's unique cabin-structured program! (Take a look at our Junior Program page.)

Lohikan's staff is composed of 60+ camp professionals and a counseling staff of more than 130 college-enrolled young men and women selected for their skills and experience with children.

PROGRAM NEWS

TENNIS: Great News! Accomplished tennis professional, Stefan Konowalskyj (USPTA Certified Tennis Professional) joins Camp Lohikan's premier tennis program as director. Stefan has extensive junior, adult, college and international coaching experience. Stefan was one of the select teaching pros to be invited to the Cartier Grand Slam Tennis Tournament in the Hamptons where he taught and played next to the likes of tennis greats Tony Trabert, Poncho Gonzales and Vitas Gerulaitas.
